OREANDA-NEWS. December 30, 2009. Russian Railways Co. (RRC) picks Siemens to supply commuter trains for the Sochi-2014 Winter Olympics. Russian railway monopoly RRC entered into an agreement with German concern Siemens on the manufacture of commuter trains for Sochi, RRC CEO Vladimir Yakunin said.

Commuter trains will be purchased for the use during the Sochi Winter Olympic Games that will take place in 2014. This summer Yakunin also said at issue are 38 trains that will run the Adler-Krasnaya Polyana route.
