OREANDA-NEWS. December 30, 2009. Specialists of Volgodonskaya nuclear power plant participated in seminar meeting on issues of planning and taking measures of population protection in the 30 km monitoring area of Volgodonskaya NPP, which took place on 24 November in Volgodonsk training center of Federal fire service of Central administration of EMERCOM RF in Rostov region.

In the seminar also participated heads of Central administration of EMERCOM in Rostov region and Department on emergencies prevention and liquidation of Rostov region, heads and representatives of administrations of country districts laying in the 30 km watching area of the NPP.

Decision of carrying out of the seminar was made in September at meeting of regional antiterrorist commission, where matters of interaction of regional structures of EMERCOM with municipal institutions were discussed.

Specialists of nuclear power plant in their reports represented information on peculiarities of NPP functioning and on set of measures on protection of the nuclear power plant staff. Besides, it was noted, that at Volgodonskaya NPP works are permanently carries out on organization and execution of comprehensive ecologic and radiation monitoring in watching area of the nuclear power plant. In 2010 number of ARMS points will increase (there will be three more of them).
