OREANDA-NEWS. December 30, 2009. The President of the National Assembly Mr. Hovik Abrahamyan received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran (IRI) to the Republic of Armenia (RA) Mr. Seid Ali Saghaian.

Welcoming the guest Mr. Abrahamyan highly assessed the friendly relations between RA and IRI and highlighted the cooperation in political, trade-economic, agricultural, cultural and other spheres.

During the meeting the interlocutors also discussed the issue of activation of cooperation in the trade-economic sphere, in particular, touching upon the issues concerning the RA-IRI Inter-governmental Committee meeting being held in Armenia in January.

During the talk the partners also touched upon issues concerning the Armenian-Turkish relations and other issues of bilateral interest.
