Russian Technical Supervisory Authority Inspected Novovoronezh NPP-2

Since 16 till 20 November the regular planned inspection of Novovoronezh NPP-2 under construction by complex work group of Russian Technical Supervisory Authority, for the fourth time in the year.
18 inspectors and experts from Moscow, Voronezh and Novovoronezh inspected activity of customer (JSC "Concern Rosenergoatom"), general contractor (JSC "Atomenergoproject") and contractual organizations in the framework of construction supervision.
They noted permanent improvement of work quality at the main objects, such as buildings of the reactor and turbine. On results of the inspection statement was made, all items of which should be executed within the specified time.
At present, 4200 people (engineers and workers), 370 units of construction machinery and special aggregates are engaged at construction objects of Novovoronezh NPP-2.
Novovoronezh NPP-2 is constructed under project NPP-2006 using reactor facility VVER-1200. this is a project based on engineering solutions of project NPP-92. Project NPP-92 is acknowledged as meeting all technical requirements of EUR to NPPs with new generation light-water-moderated reactor. Certification of the project demonstrated high level of reliability and safety of NVNPP-2. Power unit project NPP-2006 will have output of 1200 MW. Its service life is - 60 years. Project of the first stage of Novovoronezh NPP-2 supposes construction of two power units.
JSC "Atomenergoproject" (Moscow) acts as general contractor on construction of Novovoronezh NPP-2. The Enterprise is comprised by integrated company JSC "Atomenegroprom" that consolidates consolidated assets of Russian nuclear branch and providing full cycle of production in the area of nuclear energy sector - from uranium mining to construction of NPPs and power generation.
Functions of customer developer are performed by JSC "Concern Rosenergoatom", 100 percent of shares of which belong to JSC "Atomenegroprom".
