OREANDA-NEWS. December 29, 2009. Vladimir Novitsky, Minister of Industrial Policy of Ukraine, paid the working visit to OJSC "ArcelorMittal Kryviy Rih". During the visit he met with representatives of the Ministry of Industrial Policy, industry associations and expert organizations, where they discussed topical issues of OJSC "ArcelorMittal Kryviy Rih" in 2009 and prospects for the company in 2010.

Experience of the largest metallurgical enterprise of Ukraine received during financial and economic crisis, impact of the situation on the Memorandum of understanding between the government and the enterprises of the mining and metallurgical complex of the country have become the most discussed issues at that significant meeting.

Vladimir Novitsky spoke to the audience. OJSC "ArcelorMittal Kryviy Rih" is an important link in the economy of Ukraine and Dnepropetrovsk region, that's why there is always great interest to experience of its work and the system of anti-crisis measures introduced there.

Chief Production Officer Vladimir Sheremet, the director of coke and by-product plant told about the production and economic situation at OJSC “ArcelorMittal Kryviy Rih”. An objective analysis of industrial indicators, the proving with raw materials, the necessity of the state support of metallurgy have become the main themes in the statements of the CEOs of industrial group – Vasiliy Kharakhulah (“Metallurgprom”), Valeriy Kolosov ("Ukrrudprom"), Anatoly Starovoit (“Ukrkoks") and others.

Kryviy Rih mayor Yu.Lubonenko and representatives of the trade union of metallurgists and miners of Ukraine were also involved in the discussion.

All market participants are interested in quick overcoming the crisis and returning of the domestic metallurgy to development strategy. The efforts of OJSC “ArcelorMittal Kryviy Rih” management and collective are aimed to achieving this objective.
