OREANDA-NEWS. December 29, 2009. The ceremony of opening of a highway bridge not having analog on its height on the CIS area has been held in Azerbaijan today with participation of transport minister Ziya Mammadov.

The Ministry of Transport of Azerbaijan informs that height of the road bridge on the exit from Tovuz city is 35 m, while its length and width are 278 m and 14 m respectively. It was built within the framework of a project of a Tovuz by-pass highway construction.

The minister has also taken part in the ceremony of opening of another road bridge commissioned in Zagatala region of Azerbaijan. Its height is 26 m, length 172 m and width 11 m. This project was launched in 2007.  4,000 tons of concrete and 600 tons of metallic structures were used for its construction.
