Uralkali Completed Payment of RUR 7.8 bln to All Levels of Governments

The company decided to pay this amount, in line with its strong commitment to social responsibility, to cover the costs related to the Mine 1 accident and to bridge the financing gap for the construction of the 53-kilometer Yaiva-Solikamsk railway link, bypassing Verkhnekamskoye potash-magnesium salts deposit.
The money, which was paid by the company under its agreements with the Russian Ministry of Finance, the Perm Territory Administration, and the Berezniki Administration, were directed to cover the following costs:
- 1.819 billion roubles – the costs incurred by the federal government in relation to the Mine 1 accident;
- 494 million roubles – the costs incurred by the
- 36 million roubles – the costs incurred by the
- 454 million roubles – the costs incurred by Russian Railways for the construction of a 6-kilometer railroad bypass;
- 5 billion roubles – the financing gap for the construction of the 53-kilometer Yaiva-Solikamsk railroad section bypassing the Verkhnekamskoye potash-magnesium salts deposit.
