OREANDA-NEWS. December 25, 2009. A solemn ceremony was held in the Gulustan Palace in Baku to award companies that have achieved significant success in the current year, reported the press-centre of Kapital Bank.

The awardees included financial institutions, local and foreign companies and as well as new players in country's business scope.

Prizes are awarded to companies that demonstrated remarkable development in a year and Kapital Bank announced Bank of the Year in the nomination Bank of the Year.

Kapital Bank is the bank with the longest banking history in Azerbaijan, which dates back to 1874. Bank provides the wide spectrum of financial services both to individuals and to legal entities.

In 2008 the bank was totally privatized. The primary shareholder of the Bank is “Pasha Holding”, which holds 97, 5% of the shares and 2, 5% of the shares belong to the bank personnel.

In May 2009 Kapital Bank launched its own in-house processing center.

Being the universal in nature the Bank has 89 branches, 66 cash outlets and 5 independent branch.
