OREANDA-NEWS. December 25, 2009. The market of prepaid cards is one of telecommunication markets, successfully functioning within several years on the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Possibility to make calls even if “*” cut off is amongst advantages of this type of communication and telecommunication charges control explains prepaid cards users’ constant interest to this type of communication. Moreover, prepaid cards market analysis demonstrates the necessity to constantly improve and expand the range of services, reported the press-centre of Kazakhtelecom.

Thus, in 2008 Kazakhtelecom JSC successfully implemented broadband Internet access Megaline Wi-Fi on base of existing prepaid cards Tarlan. This services is widely used in developed countries and is an integral attribute of modern business world by virtue of its convenience, mobility and actuality. Thus, Kazakhtelecom JSC created zones for Megaline Wi-Fi providing at Akimats, hotels, restaurants, education institutions, trade and entertainment centers and active rest places.

From the beginning of 2010 Kazakhtelecom JSC launched new services and Tarlan prepaid cards services, some of them have no analogous on Kazakhstan market: “Direct country call”*, “Payment of telecommunication services of Kazakhtelecom JSC, “Money transfer from card to card”, “Authorization by ANI”, ‘Abbreviated number of called subscriber”.

Now holders of prepaid cards Tarlan can make calls by Tarlan card from Russia to Kazakhstan, make payments for telecommunication services by phone or Internet, provided by Kazakhtelecom JSC, to make money transfer from one Tarlan card to other Tarlan card, to get information on tariffs for services and cards communication. Besides, Tarlan users have a possibility to use services without PIN-code dialing of Tarlan card, make schedule of the most often used dial-up numbers by giving them short (two-digit) codes.

Public use network in all regions of Russia except Chechen Republic.

Pay telephones of Rostelecom in Moscow (card pay telephones of URMET 1530 model and TMGS 15280 model).

Access to international network from hotels is determined by a hotel and can influence to service access “Direct country call”

Rostelecom secures no access from networks of other operators. Access from pay telephones of other types or models, also access from mobile telephones is deadlocked.
