OREANDA-NEWS. December 25, 2009. Kazakhtelecom JSC Internet Data Center opened in Kyzylorda. The project for establishment of Internet Data Center is realized by order of the President of the republic for development of Kazakhstan Internet services market, reported the press-centre of Kazakhtelecom.

Internet Data Center (IDC) established in Kyzylorda is located in head office of Kyzylorda oblast telecommunication direction. Mr.Andrey Adamenko, Director General for Information systems direction participated in IDC opening. He noted that opening of Internet Data Center will promote to further formation of Kazakhstan Internet network segment.

- In its turn, thanks to development of Kazakhstan Internet content, stable growth tendency of internal traffic of Megaline clients from 10 % in the beginning of the year to 70 % in November 2009 is observed, - said Mr.A.Adamenko.

Realization of the project in Kyzylorda will secure maximum possible quality for providing information services, high data safety and protection from unsanctioned access.

The project is realized by Kazakhtelecom JSC within the orders of the Head of state for development of home Internet services market. As of 1 December 2009 Internet Data Centers function in Astana and Almaty. The first quarter 2010 Data Centers are planned to be launched in 9 oblast centers of Kazakhstan and all large cities in the future.

As of 30 November 2009 there are over 1200 IDC clients, 540 equipment units are placed, over 560 clients use hosting services. IDC clients are companies and owners of Internet resources entering the TOP 20 of Kazakhstan sites: Kiwi.kz – Kazakhstan video service, Kazakhstan Portal NUR, Informational portal ZAKON.KZ, Game portal GAMEWORLD.KZ, OMEGA.KZ , FLIP.KZ, Rabota.kz and others.

Internet Data Center (IDC) represents a complex of network and computer equipment, also specialized software. Per se IDC is strong data processing center, presenting wide spectrum of modern infocommunication services.

It shall be noted that large companies start to actively use information technologies (IT) for business development. However creation of own information infrastructure requires solving some serious problems: working out of information system concept, project development, supply and equipment setup, infrastructure, training and documentation. Data center allows avoiding these problems and concentrate on own business potential development. That is why Data center concept became the most actual today.

IDC offers several services: free e-mail; virtual hosting (placing of clients’ web-sites on center’s servers); Сo-location (placing of client’s servers); Dedicated (providing dedicated server, equipment to lease); information protection; system administration; virtual office etc.
