OREANDA-NEWS. December 23, 2009. Irkut Corporation and JSC “United Aviation Corporation” ("UАC") group is named the winner of the first prize in a nomination "For progress in the field of military-oriented production" by the decision of the organizing committee of the National award "Gold idea".

Among the heads of the group are the President of "UАC" Alexey Fedorov, the President of the Irkut Corporation Oleg Demchenko, the General director of Irkutsk aviation plant (IAP) – branch of Irkut - Alexander Veprev. The structure of the group includes employees of the corporate centre and IAP, including – test pilots of Su-30MK-type aircrafts Vyacheslav Averyanov and Sergey Mihajljuk.

Awarding of the Irkutsk aviation plant by the "Gold idea" prize confirms the appreciation which was given to the factory by heads of the state and the government.

After examining the plant in February, 2009 the President of Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev has declared: "You have a fine manufacture — I fill proud that you managed to keep it during the most difficult period of the ninetieth".

First deputy of Chairman of the Government of Russia Igor Shuvalov and the Head of the Ministry of the industry and trade Victor Khristenko have visited IAP in 2009. They have noticed that the factory is equipped by the high quality equipment and can become a base platform for realization of the MC-21 breakthrough project.

The vice-president of the Government of Russian Federation Sergey Ivanov, speaking on IAP, has accentuated that the enterprise is carrying out a thought over personnel and social policy which mainly promoted Irkutsk aircraft plant becoming one of the leaders of the branch. The head of Federal Agency of work and employment Jury Gertsy said that he wished "to see the enterprise which has no claims from the state inspection" during his visit to IAP in December, 2009.

Irkut and Irkutsk aviation plant were awarded with a prize "Employer of the Year of youth: engineering personnel for innovative Russia" in a nomination "Vocational guidance" in December, 2009. The award is founded by the Ministry of sports, tourism and the youth policy of Russia and Federal agency of youth affairs.

The president of Irkut Corporation Oleg Demchenko sais: "Development of the Corporation industrial complex is a subject of our special care. The Irkutsk aircraft plant which is producing Su-30MK and Yak-130 aircrafts, meets the advanced requirements to the aircraft building enterprises. We have updated the machinery, have mastered brand new technologies, have introduced the advanced monitoring system of quality and have passed to the world standards where it is expedient. All this allows us to produce competitive quality production and to prepare for the organization of a serial production of planes of new generation МС-21".
