OREANDA-NEWS. December 23, 2009. Facing the Power Engineer Day, JSC Irkutskenergo put the block module gas boiler house (BMBH-5) into operation in Bratsk. The capacity of the boiler house is 4.3 Gcal/h, the gas consumption is 14 thousand cubic meters per day. The following persons were present at the opening ceremony: Dmitriy Mezentsev, Irkutsk Region Governor; Lyudmila Berkina, Irkutsk Region Legislation Assembly Chairperson; Sergey Edmin, JSC Irkutskenergo General Director; Alexander Ananenkov, Deputy Chairman of JSC Gazprom Management Board and Sergey Serebrennikov, Mayor of the City of Bratsk.

BMBH-5 putting into industrial operation will help to substitute the one eighth part of power present at the electric boiler house in the neighboring village of Gidrostroiteley. The Company directed RUR 26 million for the construction and launching of BMBH-5. BMBH-5 in Bratsk is the pilot project of the development of the gas generation of JSC Irkutskenergo in the Irkusk region. The realization of the project will help the company to release the electric capacity and decrease the costs for the production of the heat power.

The opening of BMBH-5 was possible after the completion of the construction of LLC “Gasprom transgas Tomsk” (subsidiary of JSC Gazprom), the gas piping line of high pressure from Bratsk gas condensing site to the gas distribution station in Pravoberezhniy district of Bratsk. The supplier of gas is LLC “Novosibirskregiongas”, the agreement is valid through 2013.

JSC Irkutskenergo is going to continue the development of the gas generation. Thus, in 2010 they will direct more than RUR 100 million to the design and survey works of gas heating power station construction in Ust-Kuta
