Alnair Capital Holding to Increase Its Stake in Kazkommertsbank
OREANDA-NEWS. December 23, 2009. Kazkommertsbank (Almaty), listing on the Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE), provided KASE with a press release, reported the press-centre of KASE:
Kazkommertsbank informed to have received an official notification of Alnair Capital Holding (Alnair) on an agreement to acquire more shares in Kazkommertsbank on the condition that it is approved by regulators; after the acquisition Alnair will hold 28.57% common shares in the bank.
Alnair representative in the Board of Directors of Kazkommertsbank Mr Patrik Vosgimorukian commented:
"Amidst harsh operational conditions, Kazkommertsbank successfully overcame difficulties of the period, having complied with assumed obligations. Investment in the Kazkommertsbank shares show Alnair is confident of a unique position the bank occupies on the market, which will allow in the future for using Kazakhstan economy growth-related opportunities."
The transaction will not affect stakes of other major shareholders - Mr Nurzhan Subhanberdin, Central-Asian Investment Company, EBRD and National wellbeing fund Samruk-Kazyna".
