OREANDA-NEWS. December 23, 2009. JSC VTB Bank Supervisory Council held a regular meeting and elected Senior Vice President Ekaterina Petelina and Senior Vice President Alexander Yastrib as members of the Bank’s Management Board, reported the press-centre of VTB.

Under the Supervisory Council’s resolution of 12 November 2008, the number of members of the Bank’s Management Board was set at 11 members. Prior to December 18, 2009, the Management Board consisted of 9 members. The election of Ekaterina Petelina and Alexander Yastrib as members of the Board is designed to further improve the Bank’s governance system.

Ekaterina Petelina has responsibility for the Вank’s strategy and corporate development, and Alexander Yastrib is responsible for risk management.

Short biographies:
Ekaterina V. Petelina was born on December  24, 1973 in Nizhny Novgorod. In 1996 she graduated with honors from the Nizhny Novgorod State University, and in July 2003, she completed the MBA program in Emory University, Atlanta, USA. In 2003-2006, she worked as a consultant in the Moscow office of McKinsey&Company. In January 2006 she joined VTB Bank as Vice President – Head of Corporate Development Division. Since July 2007 Ekaterina Petelina has been Senior Vice President, and since July 2009 – Head of Strategy and Corporate Development Department. She is member of Supervisory Councils of VTB 24 (CJSC), JSC VTB Bank North-West, JSC VTB Bank (Ukraine), and also a member of the Boards of Directors of VTB Factoring and VTB Insurance.

Alexander G. Yastrib was born on December 29, 1968 in Moscow. He graduated from the Moscow State Car and Road Institute and is a Candidate of Economic Sciences. Since 1995 he has worked in banking. He worked initially for Probusinessbank, in 2005 he joined Guta-Bank (which is now VTB 24), where he held positions of Senior Vice President, Director of Network Distribution Development and Management Department and member of the Management Board. Since 2006, he has been Senior Vice President of VTB Bank, becoming Head of Corporate Business Products and Support and then Head of VTB Risk Department.
