OREANDA-NEWS. December 21, 2009. Federal Service for Ecological, Technological and Nuclear Supervision (Rostekhnadzor) has issued to JSC “EnergoAtom " a license for installation of power units No. 1 and No. 2 of Seversk nuclear power plant which is scheduled to be built in Tomsk region. 

Seversk nuclear power plant is planned to be located 32 kilometers northwest of Tomsk, 5 km from the village  Samus. Power capacity of Seversk two units power plant is 2300 MW. As a result of nuclear plant construction Tomsk region will obtain a guaranteed source of energy: annual power supply will be 17.3 billion kWh. It’s also expected to generate heat for the needs of the population in the amount of 1,8 million Gcal per year.

General Designer of the construction of Seversk nuclear power plant is JSC “Atomenergoproekt” (Moscow). The company is a part of the integrated company JSC “Atomenergoprom”.
