OREANDA-NEWS. December 21, 2009. As the Minister of Health Vladimir Hotineanu has announced, the document stipulates that in 2010 revenue and expenditure of CMI funds will amount to 3 billion 375,6 million leis (US276 million), or 2,8% less than the approved level of 2009.

The reduction in CMI funds revenue is stipulated by the decrease in the nominal average wage and salary fund. It is planned that the cost of the compulsory medical insurance policy in 2010 will amount to 2,478 leis (US200) or 160 leis less as compared to 2009 (6%). In 2009, the cost of the policy made up 2,638 leis. It is expected that in the first three months of the next year, policy will be sold with 50% discount.

The owners of agricultural land, regardless of the transfer of land in lease or use, as well as individuals who, rent or use the agricultural lands, will receive benefits (discounts) of 75% of the policy cost. In 2010 the contributions to compulsory medical insurance funds will remain at the same level - 7% (3,5% for employer and employee each). The size of these funds is expected to make 1,4 billion leis. State budget transfers to the funds will amount to 1,9 billion leis.
