OREANDA-NEWS. December 17, 2009. Magadan office of Ingosstrakh IJSC has extended the hull insurance contract for the Alexandra and Captain Melamud vessels owned by Magadanryba. The total insurance coverage amounted to RUB 148.1mln. The policy covers risks of total loss and damage.

A unique Myronis ship – a waste-free factory ship, where the fish are immediately processed, frozen, and entrails ground into fishmeal, and caviar and fish liver oil are produced - has been insured against similar risks. The total insurance coverage under the contract is USD 10mln.

Two ships – the Myronis super refrigerator trawler and the Alexandra medium trawler – have EU certificates for selling fish products to the European market.

Ingosstrakh IJSC has been working with Magadanryba since 2003. Apart from hull insurance, the insurance company also provides the customer with marine crew accident insurance.
