OREANDA-NEWS. December 16, 2009. The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) has finished repairs in main gas pipeline Baku-Mozdok for beginning of Azeri gas export to Russia since 1st January 2010.

SOCAR reports that work on the pipeline was over on 15 December. The work included installation of three control-measuring points and pipeline sections in Azerbaijan. Pipeline testing gave positive results.

The five-year contract between SOCAR and Russia’s gas monopoly Gazprom envisages supplying of at least 500 million cu m of gas to Russia.
