OREANDA-NEWS. December 16, 2009. Kazakhtelecom JSC presented on its stand presentation on realization of a Programme on Kazakh content increase in purchases of goods, works and services on 11 December 2009 in Almaty within the action “State purchase-2010”, reported the press-centre of Kazakhtelecom.

Mr.Askar Zhumagaliyev, Chairman of the Board for Kazakhtelecom JSC familiarized participants of the exhibition with presentation ‘Kazakh content in purchases of Kazakhtelecom JSC”. In the whole the volume of purchases by group of companies of Kazakhtelecom JSC in 2008 composed over 91 milliards tenge. Share of Kazakh goods and services in total purchase volume composed 42,3%. By prior data the purchase volume by group of companies will compose more 59,8 milliard tenge the current year. Share of Kazakh goods and services– 54,1%.

Group of companies of Kazakhtelecom JSC signed memorandums on mutual cooperation with 57 local suppliers from different oblasts of the republic. 760 contracts have been concluded for its realization. Within this cooperation local companies develop some import substitution goods: cable-conducting product, digital rural commutation stations, power supply installations and others.

By Almaty Kazakhtelecom JSC concluded 3 035 contracts the current year with 1 232 companies for purchase of goods, works and services. Share of Kazakh content in total purchase volume composed 56%. 18 memorandums on mutual cooperation with local suppliers for 1 milliard 180 millions tenge concluded. For its realization 222 contract for 2 milliard 213,8 millions concluded, at that 1 milliard 690,8 millions tenge or 76% are paid off.

Forecasted Plan of purchases of Kazakhtelecom JSC for 2010 covers all main strategic directions of company’s investment policy, directed for providing new advanced technologies and upgrading of existing telecommunication networks on Kazakh market. According to forecasted data the total amount of Plan of purchased goods, works and services for 2010 in the whole by group of Kazakhtelecom JSC will compose 62,7 milliard tenge, share of Kazakh content– 54,5%. Including by Almaty this amount will compose 14 milliard tenge, where share of Kazakh content– 55%.

As Mr.Askar Zhumagaliyev, Chairman of the Board for Kazakhtelecom JSC noted, “company is ready to purchase necessary production that will allow not purchasing analogous foreign goods and equipment at local producers. This is both economy of money and rise of production volumes of local companies, and growth of workplaces, and finally – direct profit for our services consumers. As company’s costs for production goals, prime cost of services will not increase. Kazakh content growth is natural process as our producers develop and today offer more qualitative production”.
