OREANDA-NEWS. December 15, 2009. A wide range of issues on bilateral cooperation was discussed during the talks. A special emphasis was laid on the issues on cooperation in non-energy sectors of the economy.

The President of Kazakhstan emphasized that bilateral relations have ushered in a new stage of energy cooperation, the stage of practical realization of the largest and strategically important joint projects in the field of economy. The commissioning of the Turkmenistan-Uzbekistan-Kazakhstan-China Gas Pipeline has become a symbolic event.

Cooperation between Kazakhstan and China within the regional organizations such as the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia have become the important issues during the talks.

President Nursultan Nazarbayev invited Hu Jintao to visit Kazakhstan next year.

The leaders of Kazakhstan and China highly assessed the current negotiations and noted that their atmosphere and content fully good-neighborly, partnership and trustful character of the Kazakhstan-Chinese relations.

Today within the visit of the Chinese President to Astana the Individual Loan Agreement on the Project of Reconstruction of Atyrau Oil Refinery and on China's Sinopec Oil Corporation, the Agreement on cooperation in joint exploration of renewable energy sources between the Samruk Kazyna National Welfare Fund, JSC and China's Guangdong Nuclear Power Corporation, Memorandum on Mutual Understanding Regarding the Project of Financing the Second Section of Kazakhstan-China Gas Pipeline have been signed.
