OREANDA-NEWS. December 11, 2009. President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received Sergey Chemezov, Director General of Rostehnologii State Corporation.

Thanking for the opportunity of a personal meeting the guest heartily congratulated the Turkmen leader on coming Neutrality Day – one of the main national holidays based on the inherent qualities of the Turkmen people – friendliness and tolerance, and expressed the heartfelt wishes of happiness, peace and wellbeing to Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and the people of Turkmenistan.

Thanking for the heartfelt wishes of the President said that he was glad to greet the head of Russia’s largest company that had managed to gain worldwide fame in a short period of time through using innovative technologies.

Presenting the potential and expertise of the company established in late 2007 to facilitate the development, production and export of high-tech products and attract investments required for these purposes, Sergey Chemezov expressed said that the Russian partners were keenly interested in establishing close mutually advantageous cooperation with Turkmenistan in various sectors including oil and gas, energy, , construction industries, agriculture, military sphere.

During the meeting the President and his guest discussed and identified the promising fields of partnership and focused on the importance of wide scale adoption of advanced technologies that directly contributed to the success of the large-scale social and economic reforms.

Noting that Rostehnologii State Corporation stood ready for constructive cooperation with Turkmenistan on a long-term basis, Sergey Chemezov expressed interest in studying the possibilities of collaboration in the particular projects of cooperation.

Welcoming the potential Russian partners’ intention, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov said that Turkmenistan was always open for cooperation built on mutual confidence and benefit.
