OREANDA-NEWS. December 09, 2009. Uralmash Machine-Building  Corporation, a part of OMZ Group, had successfully produced the casing for the second cement furnace of the Novotroitsk cement plant currently under construction. The equipment was manufactured at OAO Uralmashzavod according to basic engineering specifications developed by KHD Humboldt Wedag GmbH, Germany. The contract was signed in July 2008. Total weight of the equipment amounts to 193 tons; it will be delivered to the customer in December 2009.

During the production of the second casing Uralmash specialists had improved the underlying technology, which allowed to reduce the amount of labor involved and to shorten the schedule. KHD specialists had remarked upon the high manufacturing quality, involving very tight dimension margins and high ease of assembly.

Launch of the Novotroitsk cement plant with annual capacity of 1.3 million tons is scheduled for the second quarter of 2010. Is it being constructed by OAO Ural Steel (a part of Metalloinvest) and OOO South Ural Ore Refining Company (develops Uralstal’s refuse piles).

Currently Uralmash Machine-Building Corporation is manufacturing the first cement furnace according to KHD specifications for Novoroscement company in Novorossiysk, to be delivered in May 2010.
