OREANDA-NEWS. December 09, 2009. IZ-KARTEX, a part of OMZ Group, had completed production of an Aist bridge crane pillar for ZAO Sevmormontazh. The pillar is a complex metal structure of over 22 m length and over 30 tons weight. The crane is manufactured for AK ALROSA and will be operated in Lena River Port.

The contract for the delivery of large parts and mechanisms for the bridge crane was signed in March 2009. The crossarm and turntable were delivered earlier. Total weight of the equipment exceeds 50 tons. The contract’s value is approximately 8 million Rubles.

It is the first project of this kind for IZ-KARTEX; this work is undertaken in order to diversify the product range and fill the manufacturing capacity with non-core orders. Successful completion of this contract will allow the company to develop long-term partner relations with ZAO Sevmormontazh. A contract for several such structure kits is expected to be signed in the nearest future.
