OREANDA-NEWS. December 09, 2009. Oranta held a press conference in the conference hall of the regional directorate of the State Traffic Patrol Department in Sumy region. The conference was dedicated to Oranta's cooperation with the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine on the implementation of the law on compulsory third party insurance and also on implementation of other projects. In the framework of broadening the above cooperation, Oranta presented the regional directorate of the State Traffic Patrol Department with the modern GPS “Globus- M.” “The close cooperation with state authorities was always and is one of Oranta's main priorities. The cooperation started with the Ukrainian State Insurance Company, which belonged to the system of such authorities and financed different precautionary activities aimed at reducing losses," said Ms. Elena Bolotova, Chair of Oranta's Board.

The implementation of the current project will allow all traffic police cars in the region to be efficiently controlled by the directorate through a centralized control station and will help to coordinate and make the work of traffic regulation officers easier.

 “We try to use innovations in our every day work; and therefore, we are very grateful to Oranta for its support and the system “Globus-M.” I am sure that the adoption of this technology will significantly improve the efficiency and quality of work of the traffic regulation officers in Sumy region," said Mr. Yurii Ivanzov, Head of the State Traffic Patrol Department in Sumy region.

 “Oranta believes that the cooperation with state authorities is very important and rates highly the cooperation of many years with the regional directorate of the State Traffic Patrol Department in Sumy region. In this way, we also demonstrate our social responsibility, “said Ms. Elena Bolotova, Chair of Oranta's Board.

Currently the GPS system is adopted in only two cities of Ukraine: Kiev and Dnepropetrovsk. Now thanks to Oranta’s support, Sumy will adopt the system as well. The conference was followed by a test drive, which demonstrated how the system works in practice.
