OREANDA-NEWS. December 09, 2009. As it was informed in the National Bureau of Statistics, according to methodology of the International Labor Bureau, the number of unemployed in this period has made about 76.2 thousand people, or 27,5 thousand more than in January-September 2008.

The unemployment has mainly affected men - 65,4% of the total number of unemployed, as well as the residents of urban areas - 58,6%. The unemployment among men made 7,3%, women- 4,1%. The unemployment in urban areas has reached 7,5%, in the rural areas - 4,3%. The unemployment among young people aged 15-24 years made 16,5% and in the age category of 15-29 years old- 12,8%, respectively.

The unemployment rate in September amounted to 4.7% or 6,4% less than in July and 6,1% less than in August. In comparison with corresponding months of the last year, the unemployment rate in September 2009 has increased by 2,7%, in July 2009 - by 2,3%, in August - by 1.4%.
