OREANDA-NEWS. December 08, 2009. JSC “Zaporozhtransformator” (ZTR) specialists have completed erection of three reactors at 500 kV substation “Tyumen”. This is the second lot of equipment installed at the substation within the project of reconstruction and improvement of power supply safety for West Siberian region of Russian Federation.

Based on the contract conditions signed with West Siberia MES – FSC “EPS” branch, ZTR has supplied in total 9 reactors rated for 60 MVAr, 500 kV. The contract was signed in July 2007. Equipment was shipped in March – April 2008. The first three reactors were installed in 2008, the second lot – in November 2009. The customer schedules to perform erection of the third reactor lot in the year 2010.

Commissioning at the substation of all nine reactors manufactured by ZTR will ensure reduction of losses during power energy transmission, improve quality of power and increase a flow capacity of the line. This will make the conditions required for connection to the power networks of the consumers of Tyumen region, Khanty-Mansi and Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Areas.
