OREANDA-NEWS. December 08, 2009. For the last year, the amount of clients, who joined using PrivatBank services, grew up by 7.8%, according to results of the Ukrainian banking services market research performed by GFK Ukraine in the third quarter of 2009. The top five leaders by clients’ base growth include also Oshchadbank (4.1% growth), RFB Aval (2.6%), Ukrsibbank (1.1%) and Ukrsotsbank (1%).

Research results showed that every third citizen of Ukraine (33.3%) is PrivatBank's client and every fourth  (24.7%) has chosen PrivatBank as his/her main bank. More than 33% of PrivatBank's clients utilize its card products, 24% make payments for goods and services, 8% of clients use currency exchange services and 7% perform money transfers.

During the research on banking services for idividual clients, GFK Ukraine interviewed 3'000 respondents. The sample represents the Ukraine population older than 16 years old, selected by gender, region of residence and residential place size. The poll was held by means of personal interviewing.
