Trade Balance Deficit of Moldova Decreased by 43,1%
OREANDA-NEWS. December 08, 2009. Within 10 months of 2009, trade balance deficit of Moldova has amounted to US1566,2 million, decreasing by US 1186,6 million (43,1%) as compared with the same period of the last year.
As it was informed in the National Bureau of Statistics, in January-October of this year, the volume of Moldovan exports amounted to US 1 billion 021.1 million, decreasing as compared to the same period of the last year by 24,2%.
The volume of exports to CIS countries amounted to US 383.5 million, declining by 26,5%. Deliveries of Moldovan goods to EU states have decreased by 22,5% - up to \\$ 538.7 million.
The volume of imports to Moldova has amounted to US 2 billion 587,3 million, decreasing as compared with the same period of the last year by 36,9%. At the same time, imports to Moldova from CIS countries decreased by 36,6% - up to US 900.7 million and to EU - by 37,2% - up to US 1 billion 133,8 million.
Trade deficit of Moldova with the EU countries as compared to 10 months of 2008 has decreased by 46,3% - up to US 595.1 million and with CIS countries - by 42,5% - up to US 517.2 million, respectively.
The largest trade deficit of Moldova was registered with the Ukraine- US 298.4 million, followed by: China - US 186.1 million, Kazakhstan - US 144.8 million, Germany - US 139.6 million, Turkey - US 114.1 million, Italy - US 68, 7 million, Romania - US 48.7 million, Belarus - US 43.3 million and Russia - US 41.8 million. The data of the National Bureau of Statistics of Moldova does not take into account trade-economic transactions of the Transnistrian region.
