OREANDA-NEWS. December 04, 2009. Form November 30 to December 3 of 2009 Irkutsk under the aegis of the Ministry of Power of the Russian Federation, Graduate School of Business Administration Moscow State University and Irkutsk Chamber of Commerce and Industry carried out the international conference “Effective Power” dedicated to 55th Anniversary of JSC Irkutskenergo.

Heads and specialists of power companies, heads of the repair enterprises rendering services to the electric power and extractive industries discussed the issues of the industrial and management relations development. It is very topical within the framework of the present conditions of launching of the program of practical power supply and power efficiency increase in the Russian Federation. It was also considered the experience of implementation and improvement of the modern technologies in Russian and foreign power companies, discussed the methods and instruments of the operation productivity of the electric power subjects. Steven Spear, one of the leading world experts-practitioners dealing with the issues of the operational efficiency in the sphere of electric power, Professor of Harvard Business School, and Massachusetts Institute of Technology who worked at the industrial sites of Toyota, Chrysler, Alcoa, DuPont, DTE  took the floor with the report. For the first time Russia witnessed the presentation of his book “Chasing the Rabbit”.
