OREANDA-NEWS. December 04, 2009. Ingosstrakh IJSC won an award in the XI Annual Competition "Best Annual Reports - 2008" by Expert-RA. The annual Ingosstrakh report for 2008 won in the Best Corporate Presentation nomination.

The annual report features information on the status of the insurer, its growing business indicators, portfolio structure and operational results of the company in 2008 for all of its business areas.

Bearing in mind the economic crisis of 2008 and plunging financial stability of a number of Russian insurance companies, the annual report shows Ingosstrakh’s firm standing in contrast to general negative background,  so reported by media. This gave rise to creative design of each chapter’s half-title as assorted newspaper and magazine clippings, movie posters and billboards, where positive news about Ingosstrakh IJSC are presented against the background of negative and alarming headlines.

Maxim Pichugin, the Head of the Marketing Department of Ingosstrakh IJSC, said that the primary concept of the annual report was to demonstrate stability and financial strength of the insurance company even during the stormy period. Customers, who have entrusted Ingosstrakh IJSC with protection of their financial and property interests, can be confident that the insurance company will meet its obligations in full at any time and in any conditions.

The report has been developed and released with support of Volga Volga agency, the partner of Ingosstrakh IJSC.

The competition among the best Russian corporate annual reports is an annual joint project of Expert magazine and Expert RA rating agency. Expert magazine for the first time held the competition in 1999 with support from PricewaterhouseCoopers and MICEX.

The key objective of the competition is to raise awareness about the annual reporting of the public and domestic businesses, promote best practices in the area of information disclosure.

Every year a competent jury selects winners in the competition based on a short-list developed by top Expert RA corporate governance specialists and best designers.
