Subventions to Moldova Agriculture to Be Allocated on Competitive Base
OREANDA-NEWS. December 04, 2009. In 2010 subventions from the Fund of subsidizing agriculture of Moldova will be allocated only for the most effective projects selected on the competitive basis. This was announced by the Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry Valeriu Cosarciuc during the meeting of representatives of the Government with the chairmen of the regions, which took place after the meeting of the cabinet in Ialoveni.
The Minister of Agriculture stressed that the means of the named fund will be allocated to the most efficient projects. Priority will be given to the projects for production of goods of plant and animal origin, meat and milk, fruits and vegetables.
As Valeriu Cosarciuc noted, earlier means of the named fund were allocated to economic agents close to the former authorities. "In the previous years, subsidies were granted to one and the same entities" - he said, stressing that the new government will allocate funds to the most effective projects, selected on a competitive basis.
