OREANDA-NEWS. December 03, 2009. The chairman of the Union of Poultry Breeders of Ukraine's board of directors announced that another visit of the European Commission delegation to domestic poultry producers is expected in January-February 2010.  Moreover, the results of the visit will define opportunities for domestic poultry producers to export their goods to member-states of the European Union.

Millennium Capital sees the news to be moderately positive for domestic poultry producers, since their exports will be low by comparison to high demand for chicken meat in the domestic market. Specifically, Myronivsky Hliboproduct < MHPC LI BUY >, one of the leading poultry producers in Ukraine, intends to export no more than 5-7% of its chicken meat output to the EU countries, while its total exports are not to exceed 20% in the short run.
