December 3, 2009. “The National Depository Center” (Closed Joint Stock Company) (NDC), Russia's only settlement depository servicing the full range of debt and equity securities of Russian issuers, announces that on 1 December Alexander Syomin has been appointed NDC Deputy Director General – Director for Technologies, and Andrei Shlyappo has been appointed NDC Deputy Director General – Director for Operations.

Alexander Syomin was born on 1 July, 1958 in Moscow. In 1979 he graduated from the "Plekhanov Russian Academy of Economics" in Moscow with a specialty in Economics. He has a PhD in Economics. From 1997-1999 he worked as Deputy Director for Technologies, NDC. In 1999 he joined NIKoil Investment Banking Group as Chief of the Products and Services Development Department. In 2000 he ran a project for the Development Group of DCC. From 2000-2003 he was Deputy Director for Development, NDC. From 2003-2005 he was an Advisor to the Depository Operations Directorate, JSC VTB Bank. In 2005 he joined NDC as Advisor to the Director General on Infrastructural Issues. He is married and has three children.

Andrei Shlyappo was born on 12 September, 1968 in Ivatsevichi. In 1998 he graduated from the State Technological University "Moscow Institute of Steel and Alloys" with a specialty in foundry production. From 1995-1998 he worked at MICEX, starting from Economist in the Depository Services Department and rising to Head of the Operating Department in the same directorate. Since 1998 he has headed NDC's Operating Directorate. He is married and has two children.
