OREANDA-NEWS. December 2, 2009. The role of communication means in national power industry is irreplaceable. Large reconstruction work is carried out in this sphere. 

According to the information given by Management Methods Network of the Power System to the Press-release of “Azerenergy” JSC,  at present use of optical cables have been begun in SCADA project. The corresponding equipments will be constructed in the different enterprises by the specialist of “Areva” (France) company. The installation of the  optical cables are going to finish.

Lets` note  that, the specialists of Relay  Protection and MNPS of Azerenergy JSC are working together according to SCADA project. At present the adaptation of operated power plants and s/s are going to finish. It was noted by the source that,  the adaptation work has been already finished in 7 objects. Construction of new equipments will be begun in these objects.

90 % installation work of the optical cables has been already finished. At present the communications engineers  spent  corresponding preliminary courses are taking part in testing of these cables. In additional, construction of communication equipments are carried out according to the system. These equipments which were operated for many years  were substituted  with new ones.

According to other information given by the source, the communication schemes are going ready under the power system, in accordance to transition to the optical cables.

By the way, this scheme has to correctly made up for irreproachable work of automatic management.
