ArcelorMittal Kryviy Rih Held Annual Meeting of Local Career Committee
OREANDA-NEWS. December 02, 2009. Chief Production Officer Vladimir Sheremet met with the heads of shops and departments of the enterprise. He emphasized the importance of such corporate priority as personnel development. During this meeting the questions of acting managers performance, estimation of the young specialists were discussed and also new propositions on career committee functioning for the next year have been expressed. In general, the mangers of the structural subdivisions proposed to consider 123 candidatures of young talents of the enterprise and also 211 representatives of the reserve for the posts, among them 53 persons are the pretenders for key posts.
- The estimation of personnel development is the monitoring of success, - Chief Production Officer Vladimir Sheremet says. – During the year the heads of the workshops have been observing the activity of the young specialists and as a result they had identified the best of them who are able for more responsibility and career progress. The general estimation of the current performance is defined by the real contribution of an employee in business during the year and by the level of following certain requirements. In turn, the general estimation of an employee’s potential characterizes his future personal progress and the prognosis of his further development within the enterprise. By the end of the year these two kinds of estimating are uniting to the common perspective for each high-potential specialist. It is important, these estimations will be fair. Thus, we hold the final meeting of the career committee.
Factors of success of a young employee of OJSC "ArcelorMittal Kryviy Rih" are effective, initiative, mobile current production activity plus perspective potential and a high level of ambitions. The majority of the young talents, which activities are estimated in 2009, satisfies the requirements, gains experience and knowledge, these persons are strong and competent executors. Many of them actively study English and participate in the annual scientific and technical conference. They have all chances for successful career opportunities. The constant perfection of personnel leads to the increasing of the enterprise competitiveness.
