Azerbaijani Retail Consumers Power Demand Dropped by 15%
OREANDA-NEWS. December 02, 2009. The Company says that for Jan-Oct 2009 its Power Supply Department, which serves all the country regions, except Baku agglomeration, supplied 3.3 bn kWh of power to consumers that is by 15.4% less against the 2008 same term’s indicator (3.9 bn kWh). At the same time electric power supplies this October totaled 307.2 million kWh that is by 5.2% less versus last October’s index (362.4 million kWh).
“For the last 10 months the permanent population consumed 1.1 bn kWh of power that is by 31.4% less than for the relevant period of 2008 (1.602 bn kWh). This October population’s power demand was 112.3 million kWh (-18.8%).
For Jan-Oct of the year the level of consumed power payment made up 89.1%, including on the category of population 87.8%. In October the indices were 92% and 85.2% respectively.
