As it was informed by the acting director general Oksana Florea, Moldcargo was established in October 1999 by the Moldovan Auto Transport Association (AITA), as well as four leading auto companies providing services of international cargo transportations and several individuals. Company’s equity totaled 1 million lei.

As of late III quarter of 2009, Moldcargo’s equity amounted to 15 million leis, the assets of the company- 57 million leis. As of October 30, 2009, the amount of the insurance premiums totaled 26.4 million leis, the amount of the insurance payments - 15,5 million leis.

The full-time staff of the company includes 36 employees and the total average number of the staff - about 200 people. The company provides a full range of classic insurance services available all over the country.
