OREANDA-NEWS. November 27, 2009. The National air company O‘zbekiston Havo Yo‘llari received the fourth Il-114-100 plane of the new modification assembled at Tashkent aircraft production plant named after Chkalov, reported the Official website gov.uz.

The director general of Uzbekistan Airways Valeriy Tyan said wide-scale activities were being implemented in the country to develop civil aviation and the aviation industry.

The national air carrier has used Il-114-100 liners for several years. This plane corresponds to all requirements of the modern aviation transportation market.

The plane can carry up to 52 passengers. The flight range is 1,250 km and the cruising speed is 500 km per hour.

The fuel efficiency of the engines allows the liner to compete with the planes of the same type of other producers.

The new liner will carry out regular flights on the routes within Uzbekistan and to the CIS countries.

The purchase of the Il-114-100 planes will improve the service and quality of flights of Uzbekistan Airways.

The company is expecting to receive four more such planes from the Tashkent aircraft plant, which will replace outdated Yak-40 and An-24 planes, making flights safer and more convenient.
