BP Distributes 37% of Its Expenditures among Azerbaijani Contractors
OREANDA-NEWS. November 25, 2009. BP Azerbaijan informs that in the 3rd quarter local contractors got an access to spending of US282.7 million or 37% of the finances on the projects with third parties versus US 187 million or 36% in the 2nd quarter and US 263 million or 37% in the 1st quarter 2009, and 38% in 2008.
“For the past 3 quarters while overall expenditures totaled US 764 million, it was spent US 99 million through 285 small and medium-size enterprises, US 22 million through 27 state-run companies, US 191 million through 22 joint ventures and US 452 million with foreign contractors,” it was informed.
For the 1st half of 2009 it was spent US 69 million through 270 small- and mid-sized enterprises, US 15 million through 37 state-run companies, US 103 million through 21 joint ventures and US 329 million with foreign contractors.
In the 1st quarter it was spent US 34 million through 235 small- and mid-sized enterprises, US 7 million through 29 state-run companies, US 55 million through 20 joint ventures and US 167 million with foreign contractors.
Last year local contractors got access to spending US 1.31 million. Last year 328 small- and middle-sized enterprises spent US 128 million, 44 state-run companies US 37 million, 26 joint ventures US 408 million and US 737 million was spent together with foreign contractors.
