OREANDA-NEWS. November 20, 2009. swimming pool opening ceremony took place in Verkhnaya Salda . This swimming pool constructioning has been financed by VSMPO- AVISMA Corporation.

Red ribbon was cut by Mikhail Voevodin, Director General and Nikolai Melnikov, Vice Director General.

After that there was the first demonstration swim of sportsmen of sports complex “Start”.

Mikhail Voevodin: "Currently, we have not so much good news and that is great that we have finished this “project of the century”".

The building of sports complex was suspended in 1992 due to lack of financing. And in 2005 the work has been restarted by VSMPO. Long expected swimming pool was built especially for children and has 2 pools. Water treatment system of this swimming pool does not use chlorine.

It should be noted that this one is not the only Corporation project of social importance for Salda citizens.
