OREANDA-NEWS. November 20, 2009. President Ilham Aliyev received a delegation of MEDEF, Movement of the French Enterprises.

The President informed the meeting participants about the ongoing economic development processes in Azerbaijan. The President said that France and Azerbaijan have enjoyed good economic relations for many years, and the French companies have successfully worked in Azerbaijan.

Azerbaijani President mentioned that his meetings with the Movement of the French Enterprises during his various visits to France had been fruitful. President Ilham Aliyev emphasized that the Azerbaijan economy had been developing successfully, and the country had become a leader in the world for its economic development rate for the past year.

The President drew attention to Azerbaijan’s interest in non-energy sector. He mentioned, that “there is a huge potential for cooperation in this sphere and the activities of Azerbaijan Investment Company are successful.” President Ilham Aliyev expressed hope that the visit of the Movement of the French Enterprises to Azerbaijan would be seminal.
