There is a small office of the Committee in Almaty city, which is represented by one employee.

 “We hope in the future we will be able to discuss the issue on opening a permanent office with the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan,” the head of the ICRC Regional Delegation stressed.

The international forum on "humanitarian norms and the challenges of modernity,” where representatives of 12 countries discuss and exchange views on the applicability of humanitarian law in armed violence situations will be held in Astana on November 10 to 12.
