OREANDA-NEWS. November 19, 2009. The Customs Committee of Belarus initiates an expansion of privileges for bona fide traders, the head of the customs control department with the Committee, Nikolai Bursh, told reporters.

According to him, amendments to presidential ordinance #40 have been prepared to allow imports by such companies to be delivered directly to the company instead of the customs clearance point.

“We will not require additional documents to confirm preliminary information from the trader,” Bursh said.

There are some 500 bona fide traders in Belarus now.

Also, the Committee has provided additional electronic declaration possibilities. It used to apply only to export, but now it is possible to declare goods under the temporary export mode and re-export.
