OREANDA-NEWS. November 19, 2009. SOCAR has reported of the beginning of drilling of well #82 at Bulla-Deniz field. Well depth will be 6.4 km. It will reach the eighth productive strata.

By the present it has been drilled 1.2 km. Well debit is expected to be 500,000 cu m of gas and 80 tons of condensate a day.

Geologists estimate that balance reserves in the eighth strata make up 17 bn cu m of gas. Bulla-Deniz has been operated since 1975 and for past 34 years it has been produced 62 bn cu m of gas and 11 million tons of condensate.

In the next few months the field will be erected Platform #29 from which drilling of well #90 will be started.
