Kaluga Region Still Leads Space-for-Earth Efforts
OREANDA-NEWS. November 18, 2009. Kaluga region develops its integrated regional data system infrastructure in order to accelerate social and economical evolution processes in the region. Governor A.D.Artamonov ordered to draft long-term program to support these efforts.
The draft was submitted for review to the ministeries, and expected to be approved by the Government of the Kaluga region in Dec. 2009.
NPK RECOD in cooperation is close to completion of the regional special program "Application of space technologies for the social and economical evolution of the Kaluga region, 2007-2009". Following the initiative of the region`s governor and the Head of the Russian Federal Space Agency Anatoly Perminov, this program was the first in the Russian practice accepted and implemented in Kaluga region. As a result, integrated data system was deployed in the region, including development of the municipal data analitic and navigation centers, basic mapping set 1:100 000, 1:25 000, 1:10 000, 1:2 000 practically for all territory, etc.
The results of the program will be discussed during the meeting of the programmic Coordination Board, and then during the Interagency Board of the Russian Federal Space Agency.
