OREANDA-NEWS. November 18, 2009. The Gomel and Kaliningrad oblasts have signed an agreement on trade, economic, scientific, technical and cultural cooperation. The document was signed by the regions’ chairmen Alexander Yakobson and Georgy Boos during the Gomel delegation’s visit to the Russian region.

The sides also signed agreements on cooperation between the Belarusian Trade and Economic University of Consumer Cooperation, Francysk Skaryna Gomel State University and Immanuel Kant State University of Russia.

The Mozyr and Gomel House-Building Factories entered into an agreement with the Housing Construction Fund of the Kaliningrad oblast. The document stipulates that the Belarusian builders will construct about 40 thousand square metres of accommodation in the Kaliningrad region within two years.
