OREANDA-NEWS. November 17, 2009. In the third quarter of the current year, JSC Irkutskenergo started the second in its history wave of major repairs with full deinstallation of the hydro turbine at Ust-Ilimsk HES. At the present time hydro turbine No.8 instead of the standard major repair with length of three months was withdrawn to the full major repair with the term of six months that includes development of more detailed technologies of evaluation of the state of the turbine knots, necessary consulting and coordination with the plants-producers. Additional costs for repair works are 6.5m roubles.

Besides, in autumn workers at the HES made extra works on definition of the vibration state of the hydro turbines, correcting of the zones of undesirable works, which requir4ed additional costs in the amount of 681 thousand roubles. At the same time workers are retiring the hydro turbines from work for a deep analysis and fixation f the state of available details and fastening of hydro mechanic and electrical equipment without deinstallation.

The company continues the process of modernisation of equipment at Ust-Ilimsk hydro electric station. At the present moment workers are reconstructing networks of the in-line direct current, replacing of current transformers at open distribution unit No.5, finishing installation of the complex safety system intended for increase of reliability in the work of the station. Besides, at the present time workers are defining technical and financial parameters of the programme o increase of the reliabili8ty of the work of the station directed to increase of t he degree of safety of the working personnel, avoidance, localization and liquidation of possible emergency situations.
