Nakhodka Enhances Power Supply Reliability
OREANDA-NEWS. November 16, 2009. Autotransformer of 220/110/10 kilovolt with a capacity of 125 mega-volt-amperes (MVA) was put into operation at the power substation "Shirokaya" being reconstructed in the territory of Nakhodka city district.
Substation "Shirokaya" is located in the south district of Nakhodka. It is the main supplier of electricity to the city district including large commercial and industrial customers. Thanks to substation reconstruction, power supply of Nakhodka city district as well as southern part of Partizansk city with a population of about 200,000 people became much more reliable. Besides that, conditions for connection of new users including objects of the oil pipeline system "East Siberia – Pacific ocean" to the main power supply networks were created as well. The total value of reconstruction is more than 210 million rubles.
Power substation "Shirokaya" with a capacity of 175 MVA was put into operation in 1976. Nowadays it is the main supplier of electricity to the city district including large industrial users such as Nakhodka commercial sea port, Nakhodka fishing port, Oil-loading commercial sea port, Vostochny port as well as oil-loading terminal in Kozmina Bay, which is a part of the pipe-line system ESPO.
