OREANDA-NEWS. November 16, 2009. Ilyushin Finance Co is taking steps to promotion of the Russian aircrafts to the markets of China and South-East Asia under the financial leasing conditions. It is the only RF company which was represented at the international Asia Aerospace 2009 Exhibition.

“We are interested in this region. We expect that cargo aircrafts will be in demand in the markets of the continental China and Hong Kong, and passenger jets in Vietnam and Indonesia” stated Mikhail Shabalov, the company’s regional director for the Middle East and Asia countries.

This exhibition, he says, is a good way to attract attention to the company and seek for opportunities to enter the regional markets. In particular, participants of the exhibition show interest to the medium-haul Tu-204 jet and the cargo Il-96-400 jet.

“It is too early now to speak about signing any letters of intent. Nevertheless, we hope that within the nearest half a year we will reach understandings with a number of countries, such as Vietnam and Indonesia”, noted the agency interviewee.
