OREANDA-NEWS. November 16, 2009. IBA participated in the 2nd scientific conference “Information Technologies in Education” that took place in Minsk, Belarus, reported the press-centre of IBA.

The conference was held within the state program “All-round informatization of the education system of the Republic of Belarus for the years 2007-2010”.

The event was organized by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus, the National Institute of Education, the Republican Institute for Vocational Education, and the Academy of Postgraduate Education.

The conference was aimed at discussing widespread adoption of the latest information and pedagogical technologies in Belarusian educational institutions.

Alexander Zhuk, First Deputy Minister of Education, Kazimir Farino, Deputy Minister of Education, and Gennady Palchik, Director of National Institute of Education, welcomed the participants. This year, more than 200 representatives of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus, Belarusian educational institutions and IT companies attended the conference.

At the event, IBA presented its e-University, a software platform that supports online distant learning. In addition, IBA delivered a presentation on using e-University at institutions of general and vocational education and conducted a master class on distant learning courses.
